This site is devoted to the history of the Palleschi family all over the world. The Palleschi family originated in Italy, in the 15th century. The first historical documents about the Family reports the presence of a small group of individuals with the surname 'Pallisco/Palleschi' in Fontana Liri, a small village near Rome, in Lazio region. The Palleschi surname is still represented in Fontana Liri and neighboring cities all along the Liri river valley.
In Fontana Liri there is still a Palleschi Palace, whose contruction dates around 16th century. The Pallisco/Palleschi in Italy were rather wealthy, because of their activity as millers who moved them all around the Liri valley, which marked the border between the Kingdom of Naples and the State of the Pope. The Palleschi spread to Capistrello, Monte San Giovanni Campano and its fraction called Colli and, at later times, all over Italy (Paliano, Messina, Rome, Naples, Milan, etc..).
At the end of 19th century / beginning of 20th century the poor economic conditions of the newborn Kingdom of Italy, as well as the uncertain political conditions in Europe that would later bring to the two World conflicts, forced many Italians, mostly from the South, to emigrate abroad.
The Palleschi who chose to leave Italy went mostly to the United States, although some Palleschi families are still present in France, Belgium, Germany and UK (where they assumed the Paleschi surname).

Among the Palleschi family groups in the United States, they mostly settled on the West Coast. Some of the Palleschi from Capistrello stayed in New York City (assuming the Pulaski surname), while most of them moved to Rhode Island and Massachusetts. There is still a 'Palleschi Drive' in Swampscott, Massachusetts. Other family groups settled in Pennsylvania.
The Palleschi from Monte San Giovanni Campano/Colli and from the Latina region, on the other hand, settled in New York State (Rochester, Schenechtady).
